Michael G O'Mahony[52],digital painter,Leicester,England.- Using traditional media, I have been painting and drawing [for friends and family] for as long as I can remember. I am entirely self-taught with no formal art training nor any professional links with the art community.
about I am currently exploring the possibilities of using my computer [Mac] as a tool for creating impressionist paintings of traditional subjects featuring the effects of light & colour. The prime criterea of this experiment is that all of these 'works' are required to be hand-painted directly onto a blank screen [canvas] thereby disregarding the need for image scanning or photo manipulation. As a consequence of this pre-requisite I soon discovered the creative flexibility of a Wacom tablet hooked to suitable software... thus empowered, I now embark upon my creative voyage to become an established digital painter. images ©copyright Michael G O'mahony 2190
