Sandra Moatz is a well-travelled photographer, painter and poet now living in Cypress, Texas. The majority of the photos exhibited on this site are from her travels and living on Smith Island (located in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay) in the 1980's.
It's taken me quite a few years to realize that I really could be a professional artist. Before, I had visions of "starving artists" and had too big of an appetite for that! I'm happy that this may be the beginning of a new renaissance for art, and have decided not to wait until my retirement years to pursue it. I enjoy photography, oil painting, poetry, and have taken a song writing class and will also pursue that in the future. I expect my art will remain as varied in styles as my background has been.
